Who receives messages: Hotel guests who provide their phone number to a Vantage-powered valet stand at the moment they hand over their vehicle.
Message frequency: Up to two messages per parking ticket — one when the vehicle is parked, one when it is ready for pickup. Recurring messages are not sent.
Cost: Free from Vantage. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
Valet attendants using Vantage are trained to read the following script to each guest before collecting a phone number:
A guest who provides a phone number after hearing this disclosure has given express consent to receive the transactional messages described above. Guests who decline are parked without an SMS link and given a printed ticket instead.
Consent is collected verbally at the valet stand. The attendant then enters the phone number into the Vantage tablet alongside the on-screen opt-in disclosure shown below. The attendant only proceeds after confirming with the guest that they consent. The exact disclosure shown on the attendant's screen is:
The checkbox above is a required step inside the ticket creation flow. A ticket cannot be created with a phone number attached unless the attendant confirms the box, which acts as an attestation that the verbal consent above was given by the guest.
Below are the actual messages sent by the program. Both are transactional. No promotional content is ever included.
STOP: Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message to immediately stop receiving SMS from Vantage. You will receive one final confirmation message and then no further messages.
HELP: Reply HELP to any message to receive contact information for support. You can also email [email protected].
Re-subscribe: If you opt out and later wish to re-subscribe, provide your phone number again at a Vantage-powered valet stand.
Phone numbers collected for this program are used solely to deliver the transactional messages described above and are shared only with Twilio for the purpose of delivering those messages.
